This year, 2021, is the 35th anniversary of the Oak Ridge Sports Hall of Fame.

The 2021 Oak Ridge Sports Hall of Fame induction ceremonies will be held on the ORHS Homecoming Day, Friday, October 29.

As of today, October 25, the ORSHOF ceremonies are still a go for October 29. (Of course, we will need to be mindful of the medical situation at that time.)

New members to the ORSHOF will be inducted during the halftime of the ORHS homecoming game.

On October 29, at 5:00 pm, we will also gather at the ORHS Arena lobby to introduce the new inductees and enjoy some fellowship and simple eats. Masks are required for this indoor activity.

The four new inductees and last year's three inductees (if they make the trip this year) will be introduced and recognized. Many photo ops are available at this time.

We will then go (individually) to Blankenship Field for the homecoming game. The new candidates will be inducted at halftime. Masks are optional here. Game time is scheduled for 7:30 pm EDT.

After this, we will again convene on the south side for yet more photo ops, This will conclude the festivities. ***

The ORSHOF now has a 501C-3 status, so you may make tax-deductible donations to the HOF for its operating expenses, such as Hall of Fame induction, engraving, medals, etc., and to fund display cases in the arena area. These cases would contain memorabilia and personal items from Hall of Fame members.

Many of you have visited other arenas and have enjoyed viewing historical items pertaining to all sports, equipment, uniforms etc. We would like to start this phase two of the arena displays as soon as possible.

We would appreciate any help toward this project and look forward to another ribbon cutting ceremony to usher in a new chapter of the ORSHOF.

Please send any donations to:

We look forward to seeing you on October 29.
